About GAIN
The Green SMEs Capacity-Building Program is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of green and circular SMEs in Jordan by helping them build stronger, more sustainable business models. Through a structured support journey, selected businesses will gain access to specialized training, business model diagnostics, one-to-one mentoring, and tailored advisory services based on the Green & Circular Business Model Canvas (BMC++).The program focuses on enhancing business model clarity, integrating green and circular principles, strengthening financial readiness, and improving overall business capabilities. By the end of the program, participating SMEs will be better prepared to engage with future ecosystem, financing, and market-oriented opportunities while contributing to the growth of Jordan’s green economy.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to Jordanian SMEs with green products or services, as well as SMEs that are seeking to transition toward a greener and more sustainable business model. Women- and youth-led enterprises are strongly encouraged to apply.

What is GAIN?
The Green SMEs Capacity-Building Program is designed to support Jordanian green and circular SMEs as well as those seeking to transition to greener practices or develop more environmentally friendly products and services by strengthening their business models through training, diagnostics, mentoring, and advisory support using the Green & Circular Business Model Canvas.
Who can apply?
The program targets Jordanian SMEs that have been legally registered and operational for at least three years, including businesses operating in the green and circular economy with green products or services, as well as SMEs seeking to transition toward a greener and more sustainable business model.
How many SMEs will be selected?
- Up to 25 SMEs will participate in the Green Business Readiness Bootcamp.
- 10 SMEs will be selected for the structured support program.
- Up to 5 SMEs demonstrating higher levels of readiness may receive additional support for product/service refinement and prototype validation.
What is the journey for selected SMEs throughout the program?
- Up to 25 SMEs will participate in the Green Business Readiness Bootcamp, which will take place over 5 days.
- From these, the 10 SMEs with green/circular products or services and at least 3 years of operation will be selected to participate in the structured support cycle, consisting of approximately 180 hours of support delivered over 6–7 months
- From the 10 selected SMEs, up to 5 SMEs demonstrating higher levels of maturity and readiness may receive additional support for product/service refinement and prototype validation, delivered over approximately 4-6 months.
What support will the selected SMEs receive?
10 selected SMEs will receive up to 180 hours of structured support through:
- Group training sessions
- One-to-one mentoring
- Business advisory services
- Green Business Clinics
Support is tailored based on each SME’s diagnostic results and needs.
Will the program provide grants to participating SMEs?
No. The program does not provide direct financial support or grants to participating SMEs. Instead, selected SMEs will receive capacity-building support, including training, diagnostics, mentoring, and tailored advisory services to help strengthen their businesses and advance their green and circular transition.
Is it required for the SME to be Jordanian and operate only in Jordan?
Yes. Your SME must be Jordanian-registered, but it is not required to operate exclusively in Jordan. SMEs that operate in Jordan and/or international markets are eligible to apply.
